Motherboards for the new AMD AM5 platform are quite expensive, but there are some great options, with great features and specs, that won’t break the bank.

If you are planning to build a new gaming PC with Ryzen 7000 CPUs, without spending more than you actually need, here are a few B650 motherboards that you should take a look at. It’s also possible to find a few B650E motherboards, with full PCIe 5.0 support for both M.2 slot and PCIe X16 Slot (GPU).

Pros:Cons:
1. Good VRM design, with support for AMD flagship Ryzen 9 7950X CPU;
2. One of the better priced B650 ATX motherboards
3. WIFI 6E support;
4. Among the best and cheapest B650 ATX motherboards available;
5. Better performance due to Gigabyte having better secondary and tertiary timings settings;
6. Better value than the B650 AORUS ELITE for budget/mid-tier ATX builds.		1. No PCIe 5.0 Support;
2. $30-40 more expensive motherboards will have better VRMs for future upgrades to Ryzen 9 CPUs.

6. Better performance due to Gigabyte having better secondary and tertiary timings settings;		1. Too similar to the cheaper mATX version, that already has a great VRM design and features;

5. Better performance due to MSI having better secondary and tertiary timings settings.		1. No PCIe 5.0 Support;
2. For similar money you can get the ASRock PG Riptide that has full PCIe 5.0 support (M.2 and PCIe X16 slots)
3. Only 2 M.2 Slots and only one with heatsink/heatshield;
4. Too similar in features to cheaper mATX motherboards.
5. I/O Shield not integrated to the motherboard.
